She has presented at numerous professional conferences, such as United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and Costume Society of America. Current research areas involve hybrid teaching as a means for EDI, fashion history, textiles, and interactive digital archives, as well as costume design for performance arts. Charlene has more than sixty set and costume designs with OLO, including many American premiers and international recording releases.
